This does not make sense to me.

A&M chooses to go to the SEC. This season they played awesome in the first half of every game and blew leads in the second half (coachs fault). They fire MS and hire the HC from UH who had a GREAT QB and had a good year. Does he have any SEC experience?

Does it matter? Not sure what "experience" in the SEC is going to mean for him or any coach that could have got the job!

Did Mack Brown have nay SWC or Big 12 experience when he moved to coach Texas. So far I do not think he has done a bad job. Did Meyer have any SEC experience when he moved to Florida and he did pretty well. You have to recruit the right kids, coach them right and put in a playbook that fits the kids you are recruiting or recruit the kids that fit your playbook and know how the game is played and managed, not if you have any experience in a particular league or conference. I do not think that will matter. A slower version of the spread has worked in the SEC, but what will win is the defense and I just hope Sumlin realizes that.

I hope he is the right guy for the job and they BTHO every SEC team. Maybe Im doubting the leaders that hire the coaches at A&M. Good luck to him and all of the A&M crew.

WELCOME to the SEC Ladies and Gentleman !!

I think he is a great guy and his track record should help in recruiting

It will be interesting to see what he does with his staff. Early reports says that he is cleaning house and bringing in his own crew, but Sherman has a heck of a recruiting class lined up for next year and all these kids have ties to the staff who recruited them. Several of the players have already opened up their recruiting again which is pretty common when staff is let go and a new staff comes in. I am interested to see what offense he will run and who he brings in for his DC.

That is his biggest challenge right now is to hold this recruiting class together.

I can't believe they fired Sherman, A&M had the number 3 ranked offense in the nation... Seems to me we just needed a new defensive coordinator. We had numerous games in the last few years we scored over 30 and LOST!
