BWSSR I think we both dated her LOL! The one I remember lived close to the trailer park that suffered the gas line explosion of 79? HEHEHEHE Oh yeah!!!! LOL!
I still remember when West Pearland was nothing but shell roads past Deadman's out into and beyond 288 now. Good lord we rolled through there sideways blowing dust all over the place. Hit a few of the old water filled sandpits back in those days. Surfboards, inner tubes, beer and babes....at the PIT!
Some of the best dove hunting in the entire region is sitting right where 288 and those homes out West of Pearland sit now.
Times have changed but I can still close my eyes and remember back when. Good folks there for sure!
I remember goose & duck hunting between Friendswood and Pearland, South side of 518 on Mr. Alexander's rice fields (between 518 and I-35). Shot a few yotes and a god awful amount of nutrias back in the day.

Ahh yes DEAD MANS CURVE
I moved out here in the summer of 67. Graduated high school here in 72.
Used to take dead mans curve in my buddys vette at about 65 till we hit the ditch and through the guys fence in his back yard. The brick house is still there today. The house where we lived is still there, corner of Ryan acers and Mc Lean rd. by marys creek. Been through 7 floods and hurricanes, shot doves, quail, rabbits and some geese right where a park is now on mc lean rd.
Lost my cherries at the famous Telephone rd. drive in. Gone now.[tear]
While they were building 288 we used to take my 55Chevy out on sat. nite and beat all the punks from Friendswood.Used to water ski in the ditches, skinny dip in the sand pit behind Corrigan south.Cut the lock at the football field and TORE IT UP with my little brothers dune buggy.Back then every body knew every one else and it was a great lil town to grow up in.Yes I still live here only because my shop is just north inside blt.8,my 2 kids went through school here but it aint like the good ol days. They get me tipsy on wine sometimes so that I will tell them stories of some of the stuff we used to do,caint tell here cuz da law might be watchin. If ya move out here make sure you get updated flood maps and by smart.I hate drivin out to the west end cuz of the traffic but that is HOUSTON.

We will be in the Pearland area for work.... I am in the real estate industry (title) so I will look up the flood info (also have a brother that is a flood claims adjuster)
My interview will be the week before christmas. If I accept, I will be starting around the first of the new year. Don' t know if I can sell my house that fast, but may have to commute from Houston to Dallas on the weekends.

I built a house and moved to Pearland in August from Kingwood...I like Pearland better, but the traffic getting home is worse down here than it was up there. I could get home in Kingwood from downtown in about 20 min....now to Pearland it's 30-35. I stay away from 45 and 288...I use Telephone Road (Hwy 35)...surprisingly fast and minimal traffic.
