Best knife sharpener for a novice knifehandler?

I have a couple cleaning knives that I use, but needing to sharpen them. I'd like something to keep in the camphouse to sharpen the knives. I know absolutely nothing about sharpening a blade, so something simple would be great. Don't know what a "good" one costs, but would like to stay under $100.

I've checked out different ones at Cabelas/BPS but don't know anything about them...

    Any suggestions?

We currently use the Warthog and it gives a nice edge. The only problem is that you have to sharpen your knife after every use or it goes dull quick

Yeah that's what I want to avoid. Is there a model that has a different blade "pitch" or whatever it's called that will last longer?

I use a Spyderco Sharpmaker for hunting trips

Main sharpener is a Wicked Edge (but its out of your price range of $100)

I used a Warthog this weekend for the first time at a friends place. It cant get any easier than that, but I was not impressed with the edge. It would get our knives sharp, but not shaving sharp like I want a skinning/boning knife to be. We also had to keep going back to it.
I have not used one, but have heard great things about the Spyderco: http://www.amazon.com/Spyderco-Tri-A...3464994&sr=1-2 once you learn how to use it. about $42

Wouldn't that be the fault of the blade and not the sharpener?

There is a trick to using the Warthog and you have to use the steels after the stones to get shaving sharp.
