After the second one, somebody should have altered the fence or at least stuck tennis balls up there.

I understand all fences don't need to be altered but if you live in a deer dense area, that's an obvious killer.

If you put a deer trap in your yard, you would get in a lot of trouble with game wardens. That's essentially what this type fence is when located in a high traffic area.

had a friend call me over to his apartment because he heard a deer yelling out
it's head was stuck in between the fence rods
it wound up breaking it's neck and we got it out, but it was kinda bad to watch it strugle

I don't blame them for not changing their fence. Bad way to go for the deer.

                        It TPWD new management program.
Insures only deer that are healthy enough to jump high enough over the fence, survive to breed.
Kind of a reverse high fence.
That was obviously a cull.,.. can you imagine the one that got away..?

I see it as more of a issue with TPWD needing to do some herd thinning than a fence problem. A reserve with residential areas around it is asking for these types of things to happen. Nice deer but I wouldnt change my fence because of it.
