But they have shown time and time again this year against quality teams that they DESERVE a chance. I say all this as a longhorn fan who saw OSU dash our hopes a few years ago.
that plane crash did not have any impact on the game,,,if you believe that you are only fooling yourself,,,,,,,,

I was at the OSU basketball game last year on the 10 year anniversary of the plane crash that killed 10 OSU players and staff back in 2001. I can tell you that the entire OSU community (fans, students, athletes) where still very affected by that event that night. You could see and feel the pain that the OSU family endured and this was 10 years after the fact. When I heard about the plane crash this year my thoughts were, "Oh no, not again". I know that event ripped through their campus with the same feeling and brought back the memories of 2001.

I have spent a lot of time in Stillwater not only for sporting events, but for work and I can tell you it is a very small tight knit community and it did have an impact on their football players and their staff. I am in no way saying this was the reason they lost, but to sit here and claim that it did not have an impact, then you my friend are fooling yourself.

I believe it did affect them and I don't need you to tell me who I'm fooling. If you don't think it affected them then ok that is your opinion. I have mine.

If OSU was undefeated then they would have a argument. They lost to Iowa St.The 2 best teams should play for the championship-LSU and Bama.IMO.

Lets clear the air on the Bama missed field goals.
Foster missed a 44, 50, 49 (blocked), and 52. Only one was close to his range.
He kicked a total of 9 field goals in 2011 and made 2.

Saban needed to gamble in order to win the game, he didn't and was out coached.

                To compare.
                Drew Alleman, LSU Kicker
16 for 18 on the season. 88.9. As a coach, you can count on him making the field goal.

Bama and LSU are the top 2 teams in the country. They should play again. St. Louis cardinals didn't win their division but we all know won the world series.

that article did a good job of clouding up the argument even more...It clealy says Bama is the better team and I suppose it looks like Gundy even said that. BUT it was heavily in favor of OSU and the Big XII champ going all the way?

Yes Bama missed those field goals, but so did OSU against ISU and that was at the end of the game. What is the difference. So Bama lost to the #1 team, they only beat 2 ranked teams and OSU beat 5. Seems to me the strength of schedule was way better for OSU than Bama. Go back and read the link in the original post. Nuff said.

You just compared the BCS to a playoff system! In the BCS, every game is suppose to matter that's where strength of schedules has to play in.

The only way to determine who the better team is, is to settle it on the field....it was proven that LSU is better than Bama.....NEXT.

Agreed Cuz....But the goal of the bcs is to provide us with a true #1 vs.#2 team in the land. I pesonally don't see osu being able to stay on the field with either lsu or bama. I want to see the rematch but I wont be to dissapointed if osu gets in. Either way I will be pulling for whoever plays lsu.
