I'll likely be putting in for points in CO for another year. I'll have 9 for both elk/deer. Also put in in Montana again. After that I'm green. I need to research other states; NM, Arizona, Utah, etc. I'd like to start acquiring points elsewhere.

I'm about in your same boat. I'm really pondering on what to do with the elk points in CO. I'm afraid point creep will get me to where I can't draw a decent tag even with that amount of points. I need to do some hard looking this year.

As far as the other states, it is pretty much playing the lottery. The way I look at it is that my fees benefit wildlife. My way of donating to a good cause in lieu of donating to some other charity that you have no idea what those funds are used for.

Of course it is definitely time to start eating better, and slowly ramp up the workouts.

Should draw Montana archery elk
Putting in for Wyoming antelope with a few points. Waiting on a decent trophy unit but will put in just in case. At least get another pref point out of it.
Then our usually New Mexico elk draw. If ya don’t play you can’t win !

Pretty sure you have to buy that Wyoming PP this coming July instead of getting one for the no draw, no PP given at drawing anymore for elk.

Good lucks folks, luckily we can go buy a general license if we don't draw our LQ area. Hoping to draw that LQ area near to Laramie though.

All in for NM elk, muley and antelope and CO muley. Like Larkin, if I draw NM, I'll eat the CO fee and get my points back. Points in WY for elk, muley and antelope. Points for in CO for elk.

I believe this is true now that I looked it up. Thanks for the heads up. You don't automatically get a WY pref point if you don't draw. You still need to go back in July and apply for the pref point.

Pretty much same as me except for points only in AZ this year. Drought is bad. I don’t want to draw AZ and hunt for 320” bulls.

NM -elk,deer but I wait till the last minute no sense in letting them hold my money for longer than needed.

Co - 2 Points for deer, might look at crappy late hunt and get out of the point game in CO.

Wy - not apply just gonna get another deer point later.

Az - deer and elk for a chance at a random draw bc I already purchased my 2021 license.

I sure wish I had a guaranteed late season archery deer tag. How do you know you will get a tag??
