Packed up and waiting for 6am, Aug 31st!

Shot out to 70 yards the past few days. Anything under 50 is a chip shot. I love that HHA ultra lite......wish I had switched years ago!

3 of us will be just down the road from you guys in 17! What early season tactics y'all gonna do!? Sit water, glass, just hike ridges, or all the above!? Think I'll sit water holes mid day to mid afternoon then glass morning and evening... Maybe get out at night and listen for bugles too

Just got back from there, was there bear hunting last week. No bears but let's just say it's a target rich environment for elk... I didn't see any big Bulls but saw a ton of cows and smaller bulls.

I'm going back in December with a cow tag.

43 degres this morning and clear in Pagosa Springs.... I could get used to this.
