                            TPWD disagrees with you. Both sides have to be unbranched to be a "spike" buck. That is a buck with one unbranched antler.

                              Only definition of "spike buck" I have seen from TPWD is refering to the antler restricted counties and is defined as having at least one unbranched antler. If you have found it defined differently in TPWD regs then the definitions are in conflict with each other.

                                Page 64 of the annual fishing and hunting regulations booklet defines a spike as a buck with no antler having more than one point.
