    6.5 Creedmoore ???

Not that I'm exactly in the market. And I really dont care about killing whitetails with a gun. (Wipe me some black buck out though!!!!) But I love shooting rifles and I love different calibers. Ya know? Stuff outside the norm. This one has been out about what, 2 years now? Ive read alotta great things about it. Anyone have any experience with it? Pretty easy to get sub-moa at 100 yds with it? And how does it do at long range? 400+

haven't heard of it...I would be interested to see if it's an off-version of the 6.5 Grendel. I've been looking at the .300 Blackout myself

Might wanna check it out. Joint venture tween Hornady and Ruger. Hornady has it in their Superformance line...

I love Wildcat Rounds but I cant get into reloading. I have to much archery and arrow building stuff without adding reloading stuff on top of all that... But I know I can have custom loads made for wildcats. I really want a 6.5X284 Norma

I hear ya brotha! That's why I like AR's with ammunition that's readily available which is why after my Grendel was stolen I decided to do my "re-build" in 7.62x39mm Can't get anymore readily available than that

from what I understand the 6.5 is a great round and so is the 6.5x 284 for long range, I shoot the 7mm STW for my 1000 yrd gun so far I really like it !

Creedmore is a much larger case than a grendel and requires an AR-10 frame. That's about all I know. It's been around for a long time, just think it recently started to show up in factory loads.

If I got one I want a bolt action though. Not an ar. I have to much Redneck in me to own an ar. That might be dangerous!

The 6.5 creedmoor is a really good round. It was developed to shoot long range matches (800+ yds) out of AR type guns but is ideal for short action bolt rifles as well. The .260 Remington offers almost identical ballistics but you can get Lapua and Nosler brass for it.
I'm like you, the creed caught my attention but I've been back and forth between it and the .260 for a while. Don't think either one is a bad choice.

Good point. I also found a couple manufactures (spelling) that load 6.5X284

Ya know the (6.5 Panther) .260 Remington took off like a house on fire when it came out. It's really dropped off amoung the average joe. I think alot of folks just arent familiar enough with a 6.5 (.260) round and the high ballistic co's they have and how great of a long range round it is without having 2 pounds of powder behind it...

Not to mention they are good for youth with the lighter recoil...

Just finished the .264 win mag build, very pleased so far, tested several loads. So far it likes the 120 Nosler ballistic tips. The 6.5 is a very very good round.

I'd like to get a 6.8mm Remington SPC upper for my AR, just for grins.

Yeah. But I hardly think I can dump a stinky black buck at 550 yds with it...

I think hand loading is almost an essential for any of these. Hornady even lists the load data for their 6.5 creed on the box.
