This is what I will do when I am in the market this off season.

My fiancees dad owns a 2011 Ranger EV. Has had no problems with it.... but he never uses it. Probably the most ideal person to purchase something used from. Completely **** retentive about maintenance, hardly every uses and when in use it's super light work (travel rock paved road, 30 min use, once a month/if that).

I too would be interested in hearing any electric recommendations. When we get this RANGER EV gone, I would really like to see us get an electric unit. He can keep his Rhino, but I like hearing myself think and sneaking up on the angimals

Something VERY wrong with the charging/powering unit. It has been in the shop (10 times in a year? and we all know how fast ATV dealerships work on products... now multiply that by 100 because no normal ATV mechanic knows ish about electric vehicles) more than we get to use it. It is currently "broken". It drove me to my stand last Saturday and left me there. Lights come on but no one (power) is home. Very irritating. Once we get it "fixed" this time, we are selling it. The breaks also are VERY sqeaky when they get wet or damp-- totally forgoes the point of having a quiet vehicle when you hear the breaks sqeaking from 1/2 mile out. My fiancee says he will NEVER own another electric vehicle. (Had a bad boy before this). I loved the electric vehicle idea, quiet, stealthy- but they need to perfect it before they go selling it to the public. I am truely sad to have to go back to a loud rhino but at least our old rhino has never left me anywhere.
This is the kind of feedback I was looking for. Thank you!

I have test drove these around the parking lot and really like em.

Beware because you will totally fall in love with them. And thats what makes the not working problems so hard for me. Love love love the darn thing, just wish it would be what I love all the time.....My fiancee is a bit of a side by side fanatic so we usually get something new about every 2 years. We've had 2 rhinos, a rzr, the Ranger EV and now I don't know what we will get. I think I saw a Hunt VE at our local Gander Mountain and liked it alot. But don't know if I can swing another electric unit. Would like to hear from someone who has ran a HUNT VE for a while so I can come loaded with ammunition when I try to pitch it.

I havent driven the HuntVE yet but I dont think I could justify a 14K cart when I could go buy a jeep or something like that to use to hunt. If I was to find a "good" used one I would like to think about it.

I have the BB XTO and so far I'm happy with it. The main thing to consider is how you expect to use the vehicle. It is not designed to be an "offroad fun buggy". If you want quite transport that will haul your stands and gear around, get near your hunting location without the noise etc then I think it's great. Mine will handle steep hills, carry hundreds of pounds of gear like stands, corn etc without pause. The charge time depends on how you use it. It has not measured up to the advertisement but not a problem for me regardless. I have a generator mounted to my trailer and can easily charge if necessary. A full charge will handle my activity on my lease for a weekend.

Be sure this is what you really want to do. I had the same idea until I actually used a standard lifted-tires etc golf cart at a friends lease. It will beat you to death in rocky terrain to the point you would rather walk.

                    IFS makes a huge difference.

Where I hunt as of now it is pretty smooth roads unless I want to get to my feeder then it may get rocky. Most of the places I plan on hunting will be plowed fields and dirt roads. Not so much "rough terrain".

Then you should consider a lifted standard golf cart. No doubt the cost savings will be a big deal if your budget constraint. You can trick it out as your budget allows but you could end up within spitting distance of the BBB cost in the end if your not careful.

I still would try one out first before you decide.

Bought this one two weeks ago from a guy in Falls City. He buys them, rebuilds, new paint, new lift, new tires and rims, new batteries, acc. outlet pluggie thingie, new back seat, for 3300 then bought a brand new tilt trailer, 5x8 for 900. Mounted my feeder on it and it is by far the best purchase I have made in years. No, its not 4x4, but works good and is super silent. The tilt trailer makes it nice, one pin back off and head into the woods.
