I have to admit. That wind and cold rain last night brought back bad memories of camping in a "Texas Tent" (one with a mesh roof) for last Deer season. It was coming down sideways and nearly 2" of rain.
Tonight the temps drop and tomorrow will be a CRAZY day of deer movement. Simply crazy. If I was hunting the buck pictured above, I would feel like a 10yo the day before Christmas and the expectation of my 1st 4wheeler under the tree.
I know how cold, windy and misearable it can get in Kansas, but the thought of having that buck in bow range would have me sitting naked in a tree with ice sickles hanging from where they shouldn't be!
(That's easy to say sitting in a warm house, I know).
Still raining, caught up on CSI reruns, and I can't drink any more Dr. Peppers.
Going to have Brian drop me off and I am going to stillhunt & check cameras.
Can't take it any longer.
A soggy mess out there.
Maybe we can convince Brian to go set in Alan's blind, while I do the dirty work of walking thru several drainages.
