Still early in the deer season. I'm a dyed in the wool wing shooter and I dont even go till the second split. All you do is bust up the small groups that will be big groups by December Go shoot a deer

A 20 ga will get the job done. Get the correct loads and have at it....

Sippy if you are ever down in the Lampasas area I have more 20 ga shells than ya can shake a stick at like 6 cases, I got more than enough and like I said if you are ever down here I can give ya several boxes for nothing.

Like said above barrel length means nothing. Back in the day maybe but not with today's loads. Some people like a longer barrel for planing. I use a 20 most of the time. If you hit up academy you can sometimes find deals on 20 gauge shells at the end of the season.

I shoot a 20 and on top of that, it is an over under. Will kill a speck or canadian goose just as dead as a 12. For the first couple of years, my son used a .410 and didn't have trouble as long as he let them decoy. But it was pricey. $30 for 10 shells . Was real happy when he moved up to the 20.

Get you a pump! Those over/under shells are too high!
