I have a Breville from Bed, Bath, and Beyond. It was right at $100 after coupon.

      I like it a lot.

BTW, picked up my veggies tonight. Tomorrow is day 1!

I been doing this for a while try this recipe

2 large cucumbers (peel unless organic)
          1 bunch celery (wash)
          1 bunch spinach(wash well)
          1 bunch kale (wash well)
1 red bell pepper (wash cut off the top and core it)
1 lemon (just wash then juice peel and all)
          1 half pineapple

Fyi fast really is not the way to go(imho). Drink your juice starting in the morning 8 oz an hour (keeps you feeling full) then a reasonable dinner. Also burn more calories than you take in and the weight will come off and stay off. And a gallon of water a day.

I ended up with a Cuisinart from Macy's, it was on sale and had all the features that I wanted. I am very happy with it.

I picked up a little over 200 in fruits and veggies so should be good to go for about a week.

I brewed a batch of the blackberry kiwi that is listed on the reboot website the only thing that I didn't have was the mint leaves. It is awesome. I drink a little when I wake up at 0400 then the rest after my workout.

Made a big jug of green drink for lunch and dinner.

              I'm ready to roll!!!!

                concerns:
1.) not eating whole veggie reduces amount of fiber body gets.. supplement with fiber pills?
2.) protein and carbs are building blocks of muscle. where do you get protein/carb intake?
3.) are you just losing WEIGHT or are you losing BODY FAT? weight is just a # to me. i care about body fat percentage.
im def interested, but i do have concerns

I am doing it to get back on track. I am almost 80# down since last May and kinda took a break for the last three weeks of the year. Have not gained any weight... and still have about 20 to lose. My plan is a 10 day reboot to get rid of my bad habits then start mixing in lean meats with lots of fruits, veggies and natural fiber. I will also start less cardio and more resistance which has been the opposite for the past 7 months.

I look at it as starting from a "new" foundation - and building from there.

Not a long term thing for me, just a jump start.

Also - I am a meat eater.... no way can I do something that does not include meat for very long. I have been eating very clean since May and grill everything except for iced tea. I will go right back to that routine after my reboot.

I'm gona try this. Just went to Walmart to get a few Odwallas and Nakeds to get me started in the morning. Tomorrow at lunch I'm headed to B,B&B with a coupon for a new juicer. Wife is on board as well.

I think I'll do juice for one or two meals a day. We have a ton of walnuts and almonds in the pantry for snacks. Then I'll have to remember to use the grill for dinner...no more pizza and burgers.

That is just about exactly what I did...... I was out of control and coming off a serious back injury gave me a "reason" to let myself go. I took back control of what we eat around here and it is pretty easy now. Life is so much better and getting better every day. I keep some trail mix handy for the low spots but just have enough for a serving. One in the am and one for around 3p. I know that if I woof it all down in the morning (9ish) I won't have any for 3 so it works pretty well for me.

Plus I used it for a reason to buy a Komado cooker back in Aug - one of the best purchases that I have made. I fire up the Primo XL almost every day.

Wow! This has thread came back to life! I am back on track. The Holidays are out of the way and I am going to start replacing meals with juice this week and go all juice starting next tuesday after the BCS National Championship Game (Roll Tide). I can't believe how many TBHers have done this since I started the thread. Way to go fellas!

The fast is primarily a cleansing period. If you do the 10 days you will lose weight but you'll more importantly rid your body of a lot of toxins.

If you go beyond 10 days you have to add some protein to your diet (can be done through juicing). Plenty of good carbs in veggies a fruit.

Most people do a 10 day fast then switch to a combo of juice and whole veggies (salads, etc.).
