    whats so wrong??

okay i know this is a bow site, but seriously so many people hate mossberg. I have found nothing wrong with them yet, neither rifle nor shotgun, they both are some of the smoothest guns i have ever shot. SO my question is what have you found wrong with them?

They don't draw as smooth as my Z7 Extreme... Besides that, I'd shoot one

hey adam....you know its funny,in life people just like what they like and dont like what they dont like.Once they find what they do or dont like for some reason they have to try to convince you that you should not like it also... Its like mechanicals versus fixed solid heads. Boy is that an endless debate that gets no where and causes division. I know cause I have been a part of it...haha no more...Its not worth it...Ya gotta pick your battles.. Ive had good luck with Mossberg. Im sure someone doesnt like them. So what...next....Dont worry about those people...just use what you like and what works for you. GOOD LUCK!!

have a great season...with your mossberg

I have had issues with shotguns from Moss in the past. Their rifles get dinged for accuracy though I personally don't have experience with them.

see the thing is is i have a pump twenty and it is the smoothest pumping shotgun i have ever touched and i have had it for about 7 years and i havent had it mess up one time till this year and that was due to lack of cleaning. i cleaned it and have put about 150 more rounds and it hasnt messed up since. What happened with yours?

I dove hunted with a Mossberg 500 for 10 years, got it when I was 15. I wouldn't trade that gun for anything. I don't shoot pumps very much anymore but I'll tell you it goes bang everytime I pull the trigger and has killed alot of dove.

Now their rifles I don't have any experience with but I've heard good things on the price vs quality ratios.

Who hates them? I don't care for them and have never owned one but doesn't mean I hate them. I shoot Benelli, Browning, and Remington when it comes to shotguns and don't plan on changing anytime soon...good to hear you've had no issues with Mossberg...

I had one of the earliest 3.5 inch pumps they made (635 maybe?) and it was a jammer. Had it fixed twice then gave up on it. Also had a bolt action slug gun by them that once went off when I chambered a round (no finger on the trigger). Mossberg issued a recall for that and fixed mine, but it still left a bad feeling for me. But, I am not a basher. They are American made and many people have great luck with them. I am just one of the unlucky ones.

my reaction is more a memory as a high schooler when a friend shot a "coot" grade mb pump. it was the cheapest one mb made, and it looked and sounded like it. i don't have much in the way of modern antipathies.

I only have experience with a pump 20 gauge. I killed my first buck with it, 60 yards with 3" buckshot. I still have it but, I haven't shot it in years. Don't hate them, just don't have much experience with them.

I shoot nothing but mossberg shotguns. I have a 835 12 guage that ive owned for over 10 yrs and I put im guessing over 5000 rounds through it before any problems (lost shell extractor 2 dove seasons ago). I now shoot the cheapest mossberg made. The maverick. I love it! Its only $150! With all the duck hunting I do in the salt marsh down here on the coast it doesnt make any sense for me to buy a high dollar shotty. And even if my maverick does crap out in 2 years whats the worry? Il buy another one. CHEAP! As for the rifles..... I have no clue. I like my weatherby. Haha

I had a model 500 20 gauge and it felt cheap and always jammed. I wouldn't shoot one if it was the last shotgun on earth. On the other hand I have had a 835 ultimate mag for 15 years and put it through some bad stuff and it still performs great. Neither gun was very good looking. And as far as smooth goes my 870 wing master from the 70s is way smoother than any pump I have ever owned.
