Tp&w should hopefully adopt these changes march 29th 2012. With those changes taking place sept 1st 2012. Alan cain the whitetail deer program leader says there is no reason why these counties should be excluded from an open deer season. Wow there goes all the deer! Lol! Wait i forgot that there are no deer in those counties. :-(

They should make it mandatory that all deer be checked in. Photographed and that way we can see what closed season produces. Man this excites me awfully bad. From hunting hogs to hunting "Hawgs"! I had a hard time sleeping last night just thinking about this.

If they have a Dallas Co. archery only season I have a place to hunt but I'm not sure I would. There is a very small population and the biologists know better than me but I just don't think it would be a sustainable herd if hunting were allowed.

IMO the population in Collin County is not sustainable either. But hey i guess the crop damage they cause will finally be controlled!!

If Dallas County has a season i will have several places to hunt that have some big deer, i have been wanting this for awhile. Just have to hope the tresspassing does not start becoming an issue.

I can't copy the link to here on my mobile device. Just goto www.chron.com. Search collin county deer. It was a nov 6th article by Shannon Tompkins. It's in the sports/outdoors section. I heard it on an AM station yesterday and looked into it.
