Talking with a Collin county constable today who is also a avid outdoors man, he mentioned that Collin county was getting an archery only season next year. I was surprised to hear this and inquired further, I asked where he got his info and he said from the Game Warden. Even went as far to say that he has an email from Austin via the GW with the details. Supposedly going to be 2 buck and 2 doe, I'm thinking if the info is good that is too many to open a season. Hoping for an archery only, but does 2 buck sound right for a counties 1st season?

i've lived in Collin county pretty much all my life and there has never been a deer season.

i've been hearing about the archery season coming for about 3 years...

I never knew there were counties that did not allow hunting. TPWD regulations show hunting in 238 counties and there are 254 in Texas. Anyone know which counties are included with doing a county by county search?

I am slowly raising the BS flag on this. There are steps that TPWD does, like impact studies and public hearings before they make a move that big. None of those steps have happened or are scheduled as per TPWD website.
