I've done a few catfish tattoos.

Why or what should someone get?

Whatever they like. I feel that the best looking tattoos are ones that don't have some profound meaning. The reason, they are all about the art and only restraints are to look good. Ones with meaning are obviously good too and have their place. "generally" they just have a lot of restraints artistically to meet all the stipulations the customer wants. People are normally not open to artistic expression from a professional artist when it's super personal for obvious reasons. They are the biggest challenge as an artist.

this is why when i started my sleeve all i told the artist was an octopus and a pirate ship just do your thing....really no meaning to any of mine except the one with my brother

Mine is only about 2 inches tall with proportioned width. The guy that did it charged me $40 and I gave him a $10 tip.

That is correct. Keep in mind if you are darker pigmented skin colors won't look like you imagine and they also fade easier. It depends on where you go, amount of color change and what colors for the pricing.

Im a sort of nutz for racing and hot rods so i had a 32 ford roadster done on my right shoulder blade.

My first one (17 years ago), was inspired by the Dazed and Confused movie cover, beer and being 18. Second one was something that "came to me" and I drew it like 4 or 5 times over the course of several weeks before I got it "perfect". It's a big tribal oriental style dragon head on my back. One of these days I'll get the first tat covered with a sun and my first daughters name, then I'll get a nice moon or star with my second daughters name. After that I think I'll be done.

That was just my favorite brand of outdoors gear when I was wild, crazy and 18!! Lol

Got the one on the top of my arm a year ago it has a W in the negative space which is the first letter of my last name. The tribal below it is same as most of you first tattoo 18 and just wanted some ink.

A good tattoo with size will cost in the mid 2's to $300 plus.
