          I see your point on the single shot, but bad habits are hard to break. He will not be shooting a break over forever. I preach this to everyone I shoot with, with that bad habit. My son knew not to do it on a bb gun at the age of five. I don't trust anyones finger as a safety.

              X2 I agree, I always tell my stepbrothers who are under 13 to keep their fingers off the trigger but they never listen.

                              I was thinking the same thing.

                              I hope they were hunting for squirrels or dove and not trying to poach deer. The first time I ever went deer hunting, I carried a single-shot .410 just like his, loaded with a slug. (Actually that was the gun I used for ALL my hunting until I was about 16 or so.)
