Looks like a solid 10 to me better ground check that poacher! Just kiddin hope it's resolved with no harm honest mistakes of the kids error not parents allowing him todo so..
not cool he is on the property w/o permission..
But look at the bright side, he's not playing video games!
Is this your personal property? You do know landowners let there friends and family hunt sometimes when the person leasing is not there..
I wouldn't be angry at the kid personally. But I would like to know who the adult is and get some facts.
I would definitely would find out the story on this and see where it leads. Maybe little Johnny told mom and dad he was go out back and shoot some squirels or birds. Maybe He was tagging anlong with big brother or even worse dad. But I would find out none the less.
X2 I agree, I always tell my stepbrothers who are under 13 to keep their fingers off the trigger but they never listen.
When I'm working with kids and guns, they get an explanation of the rules and the consequences if they break them, and one chance. Then if they screw up again, it's lesson over and go home.
I agree with a previous poster too--bad habits start early, and good ones do also.
i wouldn't be too upset till you find out the details. he is just a little boy out on an adventure. maybe his dad isn't even around. or doesn't have time for the little guy for what ever reason? he's out trying to teach himself how to hunt just like i had to. he's probably just looking for a squirrel or a bunny to shoot. heck maybe this will turn out to be a big brother opp for you??

Yeah I'm going to try to find who his father is this weekend and have a talk with him or the mother and see how that works out. Who knows I may have to track a deer into their property one day . The only thing that really bothers me is that he is 10 yards from my tree stand and if he is hunting some tree rats, I don't want to get peppered in the face. If it wasn't deer season, I wouldn't give a rats. Just because he is not out running the streets. I think the kids just needs to be taught about crossing fence lines with out permission, and maybe a few laws about it. But we will see how it goes this weekend. if daddy wants to get upset with me about my safety and the kids safety the I will have no choice but to call a GW and let them know about it.

I have to agree with this. But a visit does need to be paid to the parents.
