      2 of my buddies connected. One was a 24 1/2" 17 pt, the other was a 14 1/2" 8 pt.
Friday was great. Cold! I saw 11 deer, 7 of which were bucks, and 2 of those were no brainer P & Y's. Had a 150" @ 25 yards facing directly at me. Nearly dark and he boogered and whirled out of there. I was tore down! The other shooter was a 130-35" 9 pt but he was @ 60 yards.
      Saturday I rattled in a 5 pt @ 1:00 p.m. That was it.
Didn't get to hunt Sunday a.m. but Sunday p.m. was no good either. Too hot, I think.
Oh well, there is always next year, if I'm lucky!

Hunted Friday and saw three deer all after dark on the way out. Had asthma attack and got a speeding ticket on the way to sign out.

didn't hunt Sat. I was sicker than a sick dog.

Moved Sunday and didn't see anything till around 1:30 when I was washing up under the stand with no bow, heavy horned deer but did not see how many points. Right after 5:00pm the deer started moving, had one unidentifyable in the tree line and then I had a Giant 10 inside of 25 shake me up so bad that half way through my draw back the release came off the string and the arrow hit @ 10 feet in front of him; he didn't even get scared, by the time I nocked another arrow he was in the jungle and I had no shot. A doe came in about five minutes later @ 40 yards but I was still shaking so much and she was just about past my comfort zone that I just watched her walk through.

To make matters worse I had to call one of the park rangers to come get me out of my stand as there were about 8 rabid squirrels under my stand.

Saw the buck of my dreams and choked.

Drive the speed limit in the refuge guys.

Now that is what I call an adventure at the Big H!!! At least you did not spend $300 bucks for the SAINTS pitiful/uninspiried play here in Houston. I told my wife in the 3rd quarter I could have stayed in Kansas for another day!
