    yea my wife took her car to discount have a small nail on curve on sidewall they said need a new tire...they say its dangerous if patched...i know how you feel bud...

        You can patch a sidewall, but most shops will not do it. It's really hard to get them to seal because the sidewall of the tire flexes so much as the tire rotates. Save yourself the headache and get a new tire

            they make a sidewall patch just for that !! but most tire dealerships wont use them they'd rather sell u a new tire

              Hmmmm, maybe there's a reason all these evil tire shops won't patch a sidewall. Just sayin.

              I'm sure it must just be a conspiracy.

                Had it happen once. I just left it in there until I got some slime and after getting slime in the tire I drove about 5miles at a low pressure. Got back to the shop and pulled the thorn out and it had slime on it. Never had another problem.

                  Superglue Gel is your friend. Fixed many sidewall punctures with it.

                    Take this as a lesson, don't drive off the road without proper rated tires.....4 ply will lead to thorns and flats...

                      where did you buy the tires from. i just bought some from Discount tire and if anything like this happened with my road hazard they will replace the tire for free.
