It was not harsh. What would be the point in mentioning it was non-turboed?? The ONLY motor you can get in a Dodge that is Turbo'd is a diesel. So why mention it is non turboed????
Not everybody knows this. Sure you and I do but hey we are in this business
Is he talking about a gas motor?
probably so
That would even be more offline when a guy asks about a DIESEL engine.
Agreed
So how would anything from a gas motor translate over to a diesel????
Aftermarket Chips are made for Gas engines and I am sure that was the thought process behind his post
Just a pointless post that steers people in the wrong direction, plain and simple.
Probably more of a lack of knowledge than intentional. Making a statement like his with little knowledge isn't the right thing to do either.
Sort of like telling someone it is illegal to shoot a bear. While this statement can be true, for the most part and in most circumstances that would be a false statement and useless.
Visually this didn't turn out like I was hoping. Sorry for the tough read. I'm still a rookie

Well, as far as the 05 F-250, thats what I have. I have a Banks six gun with speed loader stacked with a TS Performance MP8 module. In my opinion, its too much power for me and just a matter of time before I have to purchase a new tranny which I am going to upgrade. As far as banks, the six gun is more for power and racing but they make a module called Ottomind that is more for towing and not as much for racing.

Quad, I know your being flooded with questions, but have a couple more. I am looking for something to give me a few more MPG's & just alittle more umph to my 05 6.0 Ford Powerstroke. What do I need & what do I need to spend.

Well.. I have an 06 F 250 6.0.. I started out with the Hypertech 3 stage programmer. did nothing for my milage.... It made my shifting rough once in a while when I jumped on it.. It was a pain to change the settings (about 20 min) I bought the quadzilla 3 stage 120 hp at the texas Trophy hunter show and the cold air intake.... Mike from Texas helped me install it.. I unloaded the hypertech..... Well in a weeks time with with the quad I set off my engine light 5 times... They say there is nothing they can do about it.... I have reinstalled the hypertech programmer and stacked it with the quad.. I again had the engine lite come one a few times.. Just getting on the freeway... I will play with the hypertech to see if it will control the computer better and stop the quad from tripping the engine lite.. even with the programmers and the cold air intake and driving somewhat normal my gas milege has not changed....

Did you get a 2290 code? Your truck must be a late 2006. I actually think we have an update that will solve that for you.

I have an 07 6.0 and I run the Edge Juice with Attitude and love it. Program changes on the fly. A must for towing in my opinion.

I would like to stack a chip on just to through a little smoke from the stacks and not just the tires. The banks don't seem to smoke that much, any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks
While all that smoke looks cool and such, you know that basically is just wasted, unburned fuel right? Too much fuel and not enough air can cause high EGTs, you know that right?

I was going to ask how it was doing with playing with the settings on the stack?

Mike From Texas, I've thought about that too but since I went with straight 5" exhaust with no cats or mufflers it gets rid of exhaust heat pretty fast.

                        Q-

Do you guys do anything with gassers. I have a 06 f150 and the fuel mileage is killing me. I dont NEED any more hp, but I would love a better fuel mileage.

                        Thanks.

I have an '03 F250 7.3 liter and I was getting really good gas mileage until I put on the front & rear replacement bumpers, headache rack & toolbox.....oh, and 33" tires. Since that time my mpg has dropped like a rock. From around 18 to 12 mpg. Will any of your products help my mpg with my scenario? Also, I guide hunters and drive up and down dusty caliche roads 90% of the time. Would your filters, etc. keep me running smooth under those conditions or am I possibly asking for trouble?

I saw your booth at the TTH Expo. in Ft. Worth and was really interested, but couldn't take the time to really study your products and ask enough questions since I was helping run a booth.

Your help is greatly appreciated! If you can help out my mpg, I'll slap a sticker on my bumper and I'll tell every hunter I guide and rancher I work with about how your product(s) have benefitted me.

                          Take care and God Bless,

Quad..... If you do have an update for my problem please let me know.....

Here is what Jeremy sent me as a responce to my problem "Some trucks are going to set that code but normally the only ones that get it are running the Race module or are towing very heavy on the lower settings. The reason the code is set is when you are under a hard acceleration we start backing the fuel out the higher the RPMs go to keep the EGTs from being to hot, so as you stay in the throttle it gets to a point where the Fuel Map is lower than what the PCM thinks it should so the Check Engine light comes on and it sets a P2290 code which is Low ICP Pressure. The code is not causing any damage nor does it change the way the truck runs, but with the way the software is there is no way from keeping the light from coming on, and it does not do this on every truck. There is a small number of trucks that get the could but like I said usually it is on with the Race module in the 160hp mode, I think that some of the ICP sensors are a little more sensitive than others and if it sees a small drop in the Fuel Map it sets the code. We have even tried changing the software up on the trucks that act this way but it will still set the code even by taking more fuel away and adding more timing. We could try reflashing the module just to make sure there is not an issue with the flash but I do not think that will change anything. "
