What color light?

What color light light do you use to walk into your stand in the mornings? Is white light ok or will it spook game?

i say red just because its calmer than the white but i really dont see how it would matter as long as your not blasting everything with it when your walking to your stand, if your in the woods and already making some noise just getting settled in i think the light would be the least of your worries. but i still use a red cause its better to be safe than sorry right?

I don't think it matters much if you're walking to your stand. They will hear you and/or see you anyways. Still won't keep them from coming in most of the time.

red. I like the fact that it doesn't affect my night vision, if it helps not spooking the deer that's a bonus.

white light. deer are gonna run from you, not the light. they can see in the dark very very well. they gonna see you with or without a light of any color. i have flashed my light at deer to get them to leave the feeder so i can get down, they dont care, they look at me like im crazy and keep eating. i have to grunt or pig squeal at them to get them to leave. ever see deer on the side of the road alive? they run towards your white headlights or freeze

What did people walk to the stands with before they came out with all the new fangled stuff. I know I have gone gadget crazy over the years, but I guarantee it makes 0 difference what color light you use. If it looks like you are landing a 747 it will probably scare off the animals. Otherwise you are fine. Don't over think this.
