I'd probably be up for a weekday hunt later in season 12thman. I'll be in touch.
I love hearing that "bap-boom!" when someone hits something solid. Zero tracking on two deer is nice, too! Gonna be a hot sit until the sun gets low this evening, but I'm feeling optimistic after checking trail cams.
After two bowls of Buckshot's crockpot stew that cooked all night, I'm due for a nap! Will update thread later from stand, signal permitting.

Dropped Alan off at ground blind with his bow. We're settled in. Christel is gunning for a doe. Have good pics here from last three evenings. Feeder just went off. Hand corn down to the left. Hopes are high and she's got her rifled barrel 20 ga locked and loaded.

My daughter had great success this morning..just after first light,we had 2 doe come in. After watching them for 15-20 mins. She finally got a shot on the bigger one(94 lbs.).. 185 yard shot, and the doe dropped in her tracks.
After high fives and hug's, and text to Larry,I told him to wait and see if his lovely and talented fiancé would see anything. 15 mins. Later,we see a group of 3 doe about 400 yds. Away, making their way to the feeder...40 mins later they show up,and are confused about Ethyl taking a dirt nap just outside feeder pen. One of them turns out to be a young spike. They are not happy about Ethyl, and about to blow out of there. I tell Stephanie to get on the spike, and she missed on the first shot...I am not happy, she has never missed before.. Spike runs 40 yds and stops, she made a perfect shot on him.. He runs 30 yds. And does a face plant in a bed of cactus, resulting in a somersault, and he is down for good.
Please NEVER underestimate a girl with a .243, cause she will fool you everytime.
Now it is my turn to get one with my new diamond outlaw.. Hope this wind dies down this afternoon.
