I would really like to go. I have a Bluewave Purebay 2400

Only one catch, generally when the boat goes the wife is in it. She loves to fish.
So if it is not just a guy thing, I will try and make it.

I would like to do this trip and would keep your wife company. I was wondering if there would be some other females going as well. Just gotta see what my schedule will allow that week. Also curious to the costs to expect.

Ok, it looks like we are booked (in our accomodations).

Diamond, you are welcome to join us and bring your boat... sounds like there's plenty of interest. Try BRunner's accomodations, they are awesome and you can't beat the price.

Right now, Outlaw and Wack N Stack are confirmed with the other 6-8 guys we have going.

This isn't necessarily a "guy only" thing, but the accommodations are. We got a lodge that sleeps 13, and we are trying to keep a minimum of 8 there a night, and I think we have that covered now.

                The cost will be
Lodging: $25-$45 a night depending on amount of people
Boat Gas: Not sure, but I'd say $300 max for 4 days fishing, but more likely $200 divided by 4 (number of people on the boat)
Bait: $20-$40 a day depending on prices.

After that, you have food and refreshments costs. Port O'Connor is not a party town, its not Port A or Rockport. Its a fishing town. It has like 2 or 3 bars on in town open past 10:00pm, and most of them are local...and up in their years. So, this is a fishing trip, not a week party.

With that said, I'll keep interested parties informed if/when anyone should back out.

                Good Luck this weekend everyone!

Deadeydeb, I am sure she would like another female around, I have to warn you, the woman likes to fish.

GypsyPoolman, Keep me posted. I don't have a lease this year because of building the house and going over budget a tad, so I will not be hunting much if any at all.

I will keep you guys posted as I know Im fishing Oct. 20-22nd and maybe opening of rifle season- I switch gears in October as well and chase big reds and flounder so Ill send you a few suggestions later this month. My wife loves fishing the salt as well so we have to do a couples trip sometime. As far as accomadations this time of year you can stay at Clarks on the water and never pull the boat out or get in the truck and it is under $100 a night during off season. I have a place to stay for free in Seadrift but most of the time during October November just stay at Clarks/.

Another spot opened. Anyone interested. I'm leaving from San Antonio (Boerne) area on Monday the 7th, and returning Friday the 11th, early. You can ride with me to save on gas.
