What all muscles do we use to shoot a bow?

Does anyone know the physiological break down of which muscles are used to draw a bow? My stomach was cut long, deep, and continuous and the wife has grounded me from the bow. I'm trying to get some scientific evidence that the abs aren't used (or used very little). I'm probably gonna lose this one though.

the abs are only used as core balancers. Put on a back brace and shoot away. I was shooting by bow a week after my second back surgery wearing a brace. The obliques are used in pulling the bow back along with your shoulder, traps and back.

Not scientific, but me and some other fat dudes I know shoot just fine. My six pack has been buried under a couple loafs of bread for a few years now..

Back, Shoulders and chest hurt when I shoot to many arrows..

way too many to name, but here are a few. THE ABS play a huge role in successful bow shooting. Lattissimus dorsi, deltoids, rotator cuffs, trapezius, spinal erectors, triceps, rhomboids....etc

if stomach muscles are involved, it has to be very little!

Depends or whether you draw the bow with your arm.. or draw it correctly with rotation

You use your abs for dang near everything. I learned that when I tore an abdominal muscle in college. I couldn't breath without severe pain.

Surely someone can loan the man a crossbow for the season. No need to hurt yourself Chew.
