Cigarette BUTTS!

Spending time driving all over Texas and Louisiana I constantly see (insert here) throwing lit cigarrette butts out the window to which sparks fly and smoke follows.

Do people NOT know we are in a severe drought?

I'm not for making stupid laws but this one is over due in my opinion. I have never understood why it's not littering to start with?

Get the license number off any vehicle you see a driver tossing them out.
Then report it here
They will send the registered owner of the vehicle a letter...I'm not sure what penalties are assessed.

I like the "litterer" part but what about being able to report an arsonist? IMO, throwing a lit cig out a window right now is negligent arson! AND, Ignorance is not excuse!!!

This could be taken several ways:


1. Right now if that 2% takes place ANYWHERE in Texas what would it do?

2. Not sure how they get the 2% figure (yes they study ALL fire scenes thouroughly enought to find a BUTT)

3. Thor you be a smoker?

4. I can't chill when the temp is constantly over 100!

You should try getting hit with one while on a motorcycle...I know there are a few that wont do that for a long time...follow them...lite one up...a few puff make it hot..toss in the car..they will go ballistic...then say I'll lite another on toss it in your face like you did me...then we can go on from there....
