Heres the way I see it. If you cant bring it in your job, why not leave it in the car? You still have access to it on the drive to and from work, when you get home someone may be in your house robbing it and you can protect yourself if you walk in on a bad situation. Sure it may get stolen from your car, but it could also get stolen from your house if you leave it home. If it were me, I would carry it as much as possible and leave it in the car at work. It does you no good sittin at home.
so...is it for everyone or only CHL? i thought you already could have your handgun if you were traveling or going hunting/shooting tournament
It is ok to travel and lock the gun in your car. The law states that only in certain job atmospheres that you are not allowed to lock a gun in your car unless you have a CHL. In otherwords, if you are in your own car away from your job, you are good to lock your gun up in your vehicle.
