    How to replace bath faucet?

The lever that turns on the shower is stuck. I bought a replacement faucet but I can't figure out how to get the one that is on, off. Ideas?

I will unscrew from a cooper pipe that is coming through the tile. Regular threads. Get a firm grip on it with your hands and twist. If that doesn't work then use a big pair of channel lock pliers.

No worries on scratching it because it is going in the trash.

Some of them have a set screw but I don't see it in the pics.

The new one has a set screw.

You will have to cut off the male threaded fitting from the existing pipe in order to slide the new spout over the pipe and secure with the set screw. They are usually an allen head or small phillips head.

Post more pics as you go if you have any more questions.

I finally got mine off last year after letting a hair dryer run on it for about an hour, got a pipe wrench and it turned right off.

Prior to the heat, it wouldn't budge and I didnt want to bust the pipe in the wall.

Money. Y'all rock. My wife was very happy to be in the big tub last night. I figured there was something else to getting the faucet off, guess not. Thanks guys!
