I have lost two uncles in the past year to cancer. My father has been battling cancer for two years now. I haven't been doing much of anything since January, because of all of the appointment. It is hard to watch men who have faced danger and wars be reduced to nothing by a disease that is ruthless. My dad is lucky as he was told that he is in remission, but he still hasn't recovered to 100 percent, even though it has been three months since chemo and his stem cell transplant. He is having a tough time because he had to retire. He still wants to work but he knows he can't yet. He was able to get disability through the VA, which us helping him out now, even though he didn't want to go through them cause he said the government abandoned Vietnam Vets. He is a stubborn mule, but I can't say that I blame him. AFLAC is awesome if you get it, their cancer policy has really helped pay the bills. Sorry about the long post guys, but if you get a chance pray for my aunts and my pops.
