    why on hunting shows...

just sitting here on the GS enjoying a cup of joe and flipping between pursuit and outdoor and sportsman channels and and it seems like every show plays some kind or rock music and when they play it it's freaking loud and then whoever on the show is trying to speak but the music is too loud.

Is there any "Texas" shows? I know there is a tem-mex show but should be a show where a Texas hunter hunts across Texas on different terrain, different scenarios. With what this great state has to offer why not. We can showcase Texas made products or products that work period. Even better maybe TBH could be showcased.

I thought it would be cool if maybe TBH could do a "webisode" and we can feature some TBH's throughout the state provide tips and share hunting stories...

just my mind racing, must be the coffee.

      I don't get it either.

Might try talking to some of the guys on here and see what you could get put together. Hogdude has done/does some hunting shows and he could probably point you in the right direction.

I don't understand why rock music has anything to do with it ??

because Patsy Cline's Crazy doesn't get you excited nor does it scream something exciting is about to happen. It would be like changing the Jaws music to "3 little fishy's swimming in the sea", it'd never make you look up.
            Attention grabbing.

I agree with the attentioin grabbing but it does get a little loud in some cases.

That is my biggest gripe with hunting shows, from the git-go. I'm an old codger and can't stand the noise they try to pass off as music. And, what's with the whispering?

Yea, I agree. We need some Clint Black or Shania before we kill something, NOT!!! Rock rules!!!!!

I don't really need some head-banging noisy racket-puking screamer to get me excited about a bow hunt...but, like some others here, I'm really old and set in my ways. (Said with a smile and understanding for the difference in the generations).

This is one reason why I love watching MidWest Outdoors. Lot's of footage, not a lot of talking, nice background music. I like Chris Brackett...most of the time, but loud acid rock on a hunting show does nothing for me.
