Happy Easter Macie, and all the Gardner family. We pray this day finds you all in great spirits as we celebrate our risen Savior. May His healing power touch Macie and Keili in a mighty way today.
Friday Keili called all upset because Macies feed port is loose again. She said it seems the ballon has deflated again. She was upset because she and Harley had a shopping day planned, and figured this would mean that we had to take Macie in. After finally getting ahold of the Gi Dr, they said just to put some gauze over it and tape it down till Monday. Good news! While on the phone with the Dr office, he asked if Macie was on Nexeum. Yes. Oh! That is really strong stuff and is probably eating the ballon away. REALLY! Your just now thinking about this. I know for a fact they saw the list of Meds that she is on, I saw Keili hand it to them. Needless to say, he's not going to like this non tactful Marine come Monday morning.
Other wise Macie is doing good. She is enjoying this weather. The new nurse opens all the shades and windows and let's the breeze and fresh air in. Nursing is going pretty good. We had a new on Friday night, she wanted to talk on the phone all night. That wouldn't be a problem (Macie is asleep) but our room is right next to hers. Yeah, Keili wasn't havent that! Lol. But for the most part it's working out.
Well he quickly dismissed that theory. Actually the meds shouldn't even be coming in contact with the ballon. So we still don't know why the balloons are popping. The good news is, he thinks they can replace it without putting her in the hospital. Have to get X-rays to determine that and then will schedule a time to to it. We have it taped down so good, it will be ok till next week.
