I had a 170 pounds male English Mastiff and he was a great dog. They are very loyal and usually protective. The Mastiff was bread originally for English Nobility. They were bread to be inside protection dogs and most prefer to lay right infront of the door. That's how they were bread. If I was in the living room it layed by the front door. If I was in bed in layed right next to the bed or in the doorway.

They are a large breed and do pretty much whatever they set their mind too, ie: Mine wanted inside from the back porch so he walked up to the sliding glass door and shattered it with his paw. The also peed on the AC Unit causing the AC lines to rot out costing $1200 for a new Unit.

All in all they are amazing dogs if you give them the time and attention they need as well as the discipline. They are soft hearted and don't require much more than a raised voice to get your point across typically.

I will have another one once we purchase a new house.

    Good luck to you.

Are they all giving me false information just to sell me a dog?
Yes. They do not do well outside in extreme heat like we are having.

I have some dogo pups. Not registered bus come from solid catch dogs. We use them because of their great disposition with clients.

Only have females. All males are gone to hunting homes.

Very cool dogs. My ex had one and it was the happiest dog I have ever seen!! I'm pretty sure it was "special" though!

Man I already told you to just get a well bred GSD and be done with it. You well never own another breed, unless it is for a specific purpose.....such as hunting....they could learn that too if you took the time to train them.
