I use 32" hog panels. A minimum of ten done in a circle. Bigger is better.

I use the 34" I beleive from Tractor Supply. I use five around my prtien feeder. I am not in the hill country but I regularly have 5 to 6 deer at a time in my feed pen

I really hate feeder pens. If you took the same money and applied it toward a deer feeder upgrade, you could get a tall winch up feeder that no hog, deer or raccoon can touch.

Be sure to put the small squares of the panel on the bottom (ground).

But then the hogs eat everything still

Yep but the deer won't come in if the hogs, cattle or sheep are there. That is the reason I pen mine.

Mine are made with hog panels (34" tall) and are generally 8 panels. I believe that more panels make for a better pen but at $22-25 per panel and $4 per t-post it gets expensive to make multiple pens. You can pretty much count on $250 per pen for an 8 panel pen.

You obviously dont have a hog problem

I have to fence the pigs out in Fannin because the deer won't come to the feeders that have pigs living at them.
