Key West musts?

We're heading to Key West in a couple of weeks. Any 'ya gotta go or do...' info out there? I also need a recommendation on a seafood restaurant in Tampa.

Can't go to Key West without a visit to the Hawgs Breath Saloon.

Youll want a tshirt from Hawgs Breath. The original Margaritaville is there. Thats about all I remember the rest was a haze.

Cheeseburger in Paradise wasn't all it was supposed to be. Ritas were good there.


Watching the sun fall into the ocean in the evening was one of the coolest things I have seen.

Must stay away from the tourist attraction bars....
If there isn't a large beagle on the dirt floor.. you aren't hitting the good bars...
Even Buffett doesnt go to the tourist bars...his own included..
Theres bar right behind his studio.. plastic chairs..had a tarp for a roof when we went.. AWESOME rita's..and a old guy who would cuss at you under his breath..throw peanuts at you.. then buy you a beer for not kicking his *****...

If you go to Hogs Breath Saloon.. let us know what time...they have a web cam..

I've been there several times.

Obviously Mallory Square at sunset.

They have a great fishing store right off the square that is excellent (not cheap though).

Sunset charter for dinner, drinks and sunset - very nice.

Make sure you tour the Hemmingway House.

Check out Southernmost Point.

Shipwreck Museum

Key West Aquarium is OK, fun for kiddos.

Try some Conch Fritters, Key Lime Pie and Keys Shrimp.

Ask around for who has the best Mojito. I had some incredible ones there.

GO FISHING!!

If I went again, I would book a charter out to the Dry Tortugas (about 70 miles out of Key West).

Whatever you do, try some conch. Don't get fritters. Get cracked conch where they tenderize and fry it. It is great... Just my opinion though.. Key lime pie (enough said). Have a great trip.

x2 on the conch. I've never had it in Key West, but we've caught and cooked up our own in the Bahamas several times. Cracked conch burgers are awesome.

Hog's Breath Saloon is a must and get you some Key Lime Pie dipped in chocolate on a stick!

Also don't forget to take a pic at the Southernmost point in the US.
