anyone gotten on a least and not known any of the other hunters?

Just curious if any of you have gotten on a deer lease by yourself not knowing anyone else on the lease? My group of people keep changing there minds on me about getting on a lease. I decided if I am going to get a place for this year I need to move on by myself. I have found a couple that look pretty good but I don't know any of the other hunters. If you have what was your experience?

Try it for one year and then decide.

I did it and it was one of the best moves of my hunting life. I met some life long friends there as well as have a great time hunting the place.....some have moved on but we still keep in contact.

I did last year and the guys are great. On it again this year. I wouldn't be worried.

Doing it this year. My wife and I are sharing a lease with another couple we had never met until a few weeks ago. They seem to be ok, but don't know much about how to set up stands, feeders or feeder pens.

That is all I have done. I don't have a group. I am on a good place with good folks.

check out the areas and get as much info as you can. You should get a "gut" feeling about it. Follow your instincts,

I just did the same thing this year, but it's not the first time for me. I always enjoyed meeting new folks and staying in touch with the old friends.
I just can't get over how some folks are all hung up on staying with the same buddies year in and year out just because they are afraid of new people.

I met a guy that killed a deer about the size of a blue heeler, killed a calf and used a box of ammo shooting at ,"the biggest buck i've ever seen", every day . No physical evidence was ever recovered from said buck.

I met the other two guys when I was looking at the place. A year later one of the guys is one of my best buds.

I will stay on the lease for as long as I can. Deer are good and the friendships are better...
