I'd say that you have a HIGH tolerance for pain if you lasted a few days before seeing a doc. Bud of mine was eager to move one of those 16ft strongbuilt tripods and couldn't wait for help so he went to tackle it himself despite our pleading for him to wait for help. When we realized things were taking longer than expected we ran out to check on him, found him sitting under a tree with a broken collar bone. I usually just yell TIMBER and stir up some dust on the way outa there!
Do the rehab. Good luck.

that sucks, my father came to a rubgy game of mine this year and had a freak break like that on his index finger. A ball was kicked high in the air out of bounds and he held his hands out to catch it palms up, when the ball made contact it bent his index finger backwards 90 degrees at the middle joint; 4 stitches and a splint later and he was fine.
good luck on your recovery, for such a small appendage it sure can cause some pain

Similar story once but no where near the same results. I was moving a feeder that was about a 1/4 full and one of the legs stayed in the ground. I took off running in the opposite direction in case one of the intact legs shot up when the feeder hit the ground.
Not even going to talk about how i learned that a leaning ladders is not the best to fill feeders when your alone.
Sending you healing thoughts.
