A good buddy of mine Craig Ellwanger of All ABout Exotics put up a post on there FB page this weekend that someone was going to be hunting a possible new world record axis somewhere near junction. It has been stated that this axis is supposedly sporting 50" plus beams! Yes....50! I am keeping a close eye and contact with Craig to see what transpires and will keep all the fellow Green Screener's posted.

I would like to be along for the "hunt". I know of way too many of these "world record" hunts to be nothing more than staged kills inside of pens of an acre or so. I truly hope this is a legitimate hunt. The SCI books are littered with exotics that were killed as I have described. Something I refused to be a part of but I know guys that call that "guiding".

According to the FB posting, this is on private, low fence, family land. I hope he can do it. Was sposed to be this past weekend. Will be interesting following this. If he is in fact that large, he has offspring, and if they are anything like whitetails, let's hope his momma is still alive and breeding!!!!!
