Sorry to hear about your loss. It is real tough on the kids. We had a similar experience recently.

My daughter lost her dog in August to my neighbors dog biting it and eventually killing him. We did not hear from Snappy for a day and knew something was wrong.

Sent my son around the neighborhood with a pic of snappy and about 30 minutes later a guy came to my door and asked me to step outside. he said that my son came by a few minutes ago and showed me a pic of your dog, he told me son that he would keep an eye out and asked where he lived. He did not want to tell my son about the bad news.

A gas technician earlier that day noticed a foul smell froma neighbors yard so this guy looked over the fence and saw Snappy dead.

Went to the house where he was at and the lady was heartbroken over her dogs killing Snappy.

We all cried that night as I told my son and daughter the bad news, we buried him that evening in the backyard.

Sorry to hear that, it's like losing a family member when they have been with you for that long

I am surprised that some of ya'll would see the other dog shot. Not knowing what set off the fight is hard enough, but to help with your pain you would see this on another family as well? This just doesnt make sense to me. Set a good example for your kids and do the right thing.

If the neighbors dog came into my yard and killed my dog then I would kill it. Now if your dog was not in your yard then it is your fault. Same with dogs getting ran over, unless the car came through your yard it is your fault.

I agree with you, Lead Poisoning sounds like the answer to me.

Sorry to hear about your lost. My 15 yr old lost "HIS" first dog this past spring. We had only had the puppy for about 8 months but he loved that dog.
He's stills remember "Gunner" but he has a new puppy that’s helping with the healing.

              Prayers sent – Honestly
