    THis lack of sleeping is getting ridiculous!

    I am not sure if it is the "super moon" ( I always have a hard time sleeping during a full moon), or what is going on, but in the last 4 nights I have had less than 8 hours of sleep...COMBINED! I am a walking zombie every morning, and have headaches all day from lack of sleep, but cant zonk out no matter what!

    Last night I took 3 Advil PM and 3 Melatonin at 8:30 with a mug of "Sleepy Time" tea, and was still wide awake tossing and turning at almost 2 am, then I woke right back up at 4 am with no hope of sleeping.

    This is getting ooooooold! I cannot take prescription sleeping pills as they give me MAJOR hangovers the next day (have tried Ambien, Lunesta, etc.), and I would rather be tired than hangover.

    Anybody have any good home made sleep remedies?

    Wife + hammer = sleepy time

        He tried a DMO + Hammer one time and all it equaled was a loose tooth.

        Have you tried watching PBS for a couple of hours?

          good luck man....hope you get it resolved because it sucks when your body clock is thrown off due to a lack of sleep!!!

          I didnt sleep good last 2 nights because of high fever and its whopping my butt now. What I would say you have already tried.

            3 or 4 beers and full belly does it for me....

            Its not good for ya, but It puts me to Sleep!

              Been staying up way late since the time change...heck on weekends I am up till 5 or so...lol....couple hours sleep and ready to rock....

              Eat a big meal, fast tonight, the. Kick back in the lazy boy with something on the tube....

                Sounds like you have some type of stress going on. Ive been there and it sucks. I didnt find anything that helped me sleep during my divorce, but it finally got better. Prayers sent for ya!

                      If I drink ONE glass of red wine I actually fall asleep faster and sleep better. But anymore than 1 and that theory goes right out the window.

                        If it continues have your thyroid checked. Don't mess around waiting. Also it can be very dangerous to mix herbal medicines with other drugs of any kind. Hope it all works out well.

                            Feeling your pain here - I am struggling with a similar problem. I get up at 5:00am so I go to bed pretty early. After reading for about 30-40 minutes I have no trouble getting to sleep. But then like some internal alarm going off - PING! - wide awake about 1:30. Toss, turn, toss, turn get up, drink some water, try again - toss turn, toss, turn. Ater about 2 hours I eventually conk out. When the alarm goes off at 5:00 I am finally in deep REM sleep. All forms of sleep medications I have tried - over the counter and prescription make me groggy for hours after get up. I can see how chronic insomnia would drive a person mad....

                              Not sure what a poor boy sleeping pill is?

                              Deb, I have ALWAYS had sleeping issues, it runs in my family, but lately it is getting completely out of hand.

                              I would have thought stress as well, but not really anything out of the ordinary going on to be stressed too much about?

                              Jaspro, that would equal a BROKE tooth, not a loose one!

                              I am not sure what has made it itensify to this level lately, but it is getting to a point where I can barely function or concentrate on ANY level...
