      Thanks for all the ideas!
Going to try a hot shower just before bed tonight. I do read in bed fairly regularly, but it doesnt conk me out.
Pretty sure I dont have sleep apnea as neither my wife nor my girlfriend say anything about me snoring....

I am a walking zombie every morning, and have headaches all day from lack of sleep, but cant zonk out no matter what!

Last night I took 3 Advil PM and 3 Melatonin at 8:30 with a mug of "Sleepy Time" tea, and was still wide awake tossing and turning at almost 2 am, then I woke right back up at 4 am with no hope of sleeping.

This is getting ooooooold! I cannot take prescription sleeping pills as they give me MAJOR hangovers the next day (have tried Ambien, Lunesta, etc.), and I would rather be tired than hangover.

Anybody have any good home made sleep remedies?

No answer, but I am living the same life now and really struggling because of it. Had a physical last week, with blood work, etc.. as I look for answers.

I fall asleep just fine, but wake up between 1-3 am each night and struggle with falling back asleep. When I do, I wake up another 3-6 times between catnaps.....

I drink whiskey. It doesn't help you so I don't have any other ideas...

Now I do wake up several times each night but usually can go right back to sleep. I'm thinking of a new Sleep Number bed.

Gary, let me know if they find something that helps...I may have to go see my doc and ask for the same thing!

Have you tried trazodone? I was prescribed all of the name brand sleep prescriptions and they all did different things, none of which was actual sleep.

Another thing of very serious note...get it under control very soon. I was sleep deprived for several years and it really did a number on me. I'm talking physical and psychological. It took me 3 years to get it straightened out. Best of luck.

Its the moon. Never look at a full moon or let it shine on you

I think the moon has something to do with it....I cannot BEGIN to express how tired I get of waking up naked laying in my front yard covered in blood every full moon!

Wow. One melatonin knocks me out for 8 or 9 hours.
