Cool Sheds...

Haven't been able to put a tape to them yet... but these are from the deer that always hung out with the deer that my dad took at the beginning of the year...

This buck has always looked small compared to that deer... and usually they were both out there together so we never paid him much mind...

About the middle of the season we found a shed from 2 years ago.. (the first one we had ever found off of the deer) and it was 28" long...

Now this year... we found both... our foreman actually watched one fall off as the deer jumped a pasture fence... and then sat there watching him shake his head as he walked off... he then went to get his snake boots... the other antler was 100 yards in the brush on the trail...

The coin in the picture is a QUARTER...

He will be 8 next year... I think he is the twin of my Dad's deer... so we left him... they were bachelor herd buddies from 2 to 7 so it is quite possible that they were just twin buck fawns...

I guess I can get DNA done off of their sheds and find out...
