Who here goes against the naysayers and shoots a Whisker Bisuit

Thinking about going back to the KISS principle.

So who still shoots a biscuit?

I use one. A little loud but did not scare anything off this year. Can not beat something with nothing to break.

I do. I agree with the noise. It has cost me a couple of deer this last season. But im picking up a new octane from someone tomorrow. Im hoping its not loud or atleast not very loud.

I love the WB to make it quite spray a light coat of clear coat on the arrow. This will make is whisper quiet

I do. I use fine steel wool and rub it back and forth on the arrow. Helps the noise a lot.

Mike, you saw how I prevented noise on mine. I've done this for years.
The reason I went to it was plain and simple for me. I spend too much time in research, prep and hunt itself not to mention money to have a rest fail. I hunt in places that I can't get a bow fixed what so ever and others that if I could it would be a couple days minimum. It's just not worth it. Heck i just switched to a peep without tubing in Aug. I shot the tubing because of the fear of the peep not turning.

If your rest broke last weekend what would have you done? I screw on the extra biscuit I keep with me, make sure it's sighted in and head back hunting.

I know others have complete confidence in their drop aways and that works for them.
For the record, if I were just hunting deer in TX and would loose a day tops I would probably switch because I can't fix it and get it timed myself.

i shoot with a bisquit.only had one deer spook due to noise and that was last year. changed to a coated arrow vs. bare carbon and that should help. can't give up the security of the arrow "captured" in the rest,i still hunt ALOT .
