    Selective mail delivery

Our local mail person was one street over(9 houses) four hours ago, but decided not to delivery our mail today. I thought Rain, Sleet, Snow or Hail could not or would not stop the mail from being delivered?????

We only got five inches of snow on our street.

I had this same thought today when I checked my mail.

I've seen UPS and/or FedEx every day this week.

I wonder if he picked it up from the office and went home thinking he will double up tomorrow? If you think about it, he'll be going to the same houses.

This lady was nine houses away from mine and she just went away.

now earlier in the week we did not get any mail and when he finally delivered it was two days worth of mail.

No snow, or rain or sleet or hail

, it was pretty cold and we still didn't get any mail. But Waste management came at the regular time of o darkthirty . It was 11 degrees and the ppor guy was still riding on the back of the truck and hopping off at every house to do his duty and pick up our garbage.

I get the same thing at my rural address. I see the carrier on the FM every day, but we'll go 2-3 days with no mail and then BAM, a mailbox literally crammed full of mail.
It aggravates me to no end.

She's even too lazy to get out of the truck and deliver packages, just leaves them sitting on top of the mailbox or leaves a pick-up card so we have to make a trip to town to the post office to get it.
We've complained to the Postmaster with no luck.

UPS and FedEx will trudge through pouring rain to put packages on the front step through, and at 9 o'clock at night.

Our mailperson (not the regular, and I noticed she was on the cell phone as she drove into the neighborhood) came by about 4:30, picked up the letter in the box, and left our mail at the neighbor's.

Now THIS^^^^ really tees me off!!! If I park my car in front of the mailbox when I go home for the weekend (Fri and Sat) the lazy-arse won't get out. Just won't deliver. I'd like to move the mailbox up to the house (our neighbor has one beside the door that she goes to) and make her get out and walk every day. I guess those extra 5 steps are just too much. And the Postmaster never seems any help.

It is snail mail!!!!! Remember, they are people too!!!!! If you didn't go to work, don't give them too much crap about trying at least to do their job!!!!!
So you didn't get a few bills and junk mail today, it'll be there tomorrow or the next day and most give you weeks or so to get them paid. I would rather not get my mail than to see my mail carrier get a head injury because the fell on the ice.
If you see them coming, go out and meet them and take them some hot chocolate or coffee.

The last three days was our worst and they delivered the mail. Today was the warmest and the roads weren't too bad and it didn't come today.

if there's another car on the street there's no choice... I understand this, but I just don't get why they can't walk 5 feet when for some houses they have to walk 10 yard to put it in the mail slot... just a pet peeve of mine
