I have been going to the same barber since 1984 .RED HILL was his name .Well he's siced passed .Now im looking for a good OLD SCHOOL BARBER .Who knows how to give a good ol high n tight. And still uses a razor to finish it up . ANYBODY KNOW OF ONE PLEASE I'M REALLY FRO'ING HERE!!!!

City Barber shop here in Stephenville does. Haven't been in there in a while but they only cut with scissors and then clean up the neck with hot foam and a straight razor. You can also get a shave from them the same way. Always wanted and ol timey hot shave with a straight razor... Both guys in there gotta be pushing 70's...

my father in law is an old school barber. some of the guys on here go to him. He is in Ennis though. his name is Larry Wolfe at Larry's Barber Shop. he will be off work till the end of March though, he had both knees replaced.

Ah yes, the old school barber shop. Don't have any recommendations for you but it sure brings back memories. My dad used to go to an old 4 chair shop called "Gilbert's" that had been around since the 1940's. I'd sit and look through the stacks of old hunting and fishing magazines (he kept Playboys hidden away for those that were in the know) I remember the smocks the barbers wore, combs in jars of blue stuff and the smell of Lucky Tiger Hair Oil...

And yes wen i started wit RED ,he popped me on the head fer falln asleep in his chair n not sittin up straight.My dad just shook his head,Yeah ol red never had any trouble calling it like he saw it ..I later grew to love that Old Man ,True AMERICAN... i miss him and his conversations .....RIP ol'FRIEND!!!!
