Venting a little. I finally shot my only deer on the last Sunday of the regular season, and was thrilled not to get skunked. I decided to use a place in Lufkin, after trying some of the jalapeño cheese sausage my buddy had made. Plus my job territory runs all the way to Nacogdoches, so it was not a problem getting it to processor in Lufkin. To make a long story short, I picked up the meat, 5 lbs short on the smoked sausage BTW, today, and found a crack in the bottom of my Max 5 cooler
. This was the first thing/deer ever to be put in my brand new cooler, so I bought it inside to show the workers. The only guy to speak to me said it had to be my fault
. I have put many deer in a cooler, legs up, and never have had this issue. Has anyone else had this happen? I plan to ask for the price of the ice chest and the 5 lbs of meat missing to be subtracted from the final bill. Fair or not fair? What recourse could or would you take if the owner says " tough luck"?
