STIC knife question....

I will soon find out. I got a ANZA for X-Mas it is really sharp but haven't used it yet. I then finally got inline on a STIC knife. It showed today and I was dissapointed on it's sharpness. It wouldn't shave!! but it's pretty.

I just received mine as well. It wouldn't sharpen so I pulled out my ceramic and had it shaving scary sharp in less than 20 seconds so it was obviously very close to that when I received it. There will be at least one other Stic in my future.

I got a Stic knife a few weeks ago. The day after I got it I cut 180 head of bulls. Never had to sharpen the knife while we were processing. This has never happened before and I have used countless other brands of knives. Everyone helping me process that day now wants a Stic knife.

Live the stic raspy skinner I picked up, used it to gut and quarter a doe yesterday and was still shaving sharp afterwards. A little touch up when I got home and scary sharp now.

I want a knife too I will pm you soon I have at least 200 files and some cool woods I would like to send you but the shipping would be rough. I would like to have a knife made with the ivories from the elk in my avatar put on the handle or something.

I support STIC (Frank) too much. I have bought multiple blades from him, and won't sell them, but give them away as gifts. I have sent alot of his knives over seas to our troops as well.

The best advice I can give you is make sure you put a thin layer of oil on it when storing. Other than that, very reliable. All that I have given away to the troops and friends have been successful gifts........

I put Rust Free on all of my damascus or carbon blades. You can get it from AG Russell for about $5. A little goes a long way and it really protects well.
