It is not just the deer, pigs have the sense too. I have been with a buddy of mine out to his buddy's lease to kill a pig because they were eating up all of the corn. We sat in a ground blind and i was going to film while he shot. We saw a big buck and some does but no pigs, his buddy was hunting another stand for a big buck and all he saw was a bunch of pigs


They can also tell if you are hunting with a bow or rifle and if a bow they will cross about 100yds away at a leisurely pace knowing you can't touch them with a bow at that distance
