God is amazing and sure is working through you. This is my first time on here, and this is what I find first? So great to see other belivers not afraid to share their story. Only God!

You can do it Mac. I spoke in front of crowds of up to 1,500 people for 21 years. EACH TIME before I spoke I was nervous but once you start speaking from the heart all the nerves will go away. Just find 2 or 3 faces to concentrat on in the crowd & you will be fine. Don't worry if the tears start because what you are talking about will be bringing tears to everyone's eyes anyway.

There's a big difference between giving a speech in front of people and helping other people see how God can make a huge difference in their lives. When you tell your story to your church, you won't be giving a speech. You'll be sharing God with them and helping them see Him and how He works in real people's lives. It'll be no different than if you are just sitting and talking to one person telling him/her your story. I don't think tears or strong emotions are ever going to be out of place when sharing a wonderful testimony like that, so don't sweat it. That just exemplifies God's awesome power and glory in doing such amazing things. If a person isn't touched by that, then I'd worry about him.

You remember when you walked the aisle?
That first step was the one you had to take and then God took over. I'm like you I break down nearly every time I get in front of my church but the He takes over. Nothing like folks telling you afterwards that they have felt the same way about things and appreciate what you have to say. I'll pray for you if you'll do the same for me, some things I'm scared about and I need to turn it over too.
