Hunter for the Hungry Program

Need to do this. No processor in Young, Jack, Archer, or Palo Pinto participates in doing this though. Guess I'll either have to drive to either Throckmorton or Breckenridge to drop off one.

We should all make an effort to let our local processors know about the program and this is something they can help out with and let them know we value this service. Not to put pressure on them but hey my processor gets my business because he is good and participates in the Hunter for the Hungry program.

I did this with 3 deer this year. I think it's a great program and all should try to participate if possible.

Why do they not accept hog meat??? I tried to donate two quartered hogs last year and they would not take it. Kinda made me upset. They sure fed my family well. Hard to believe IMHO.

Different guidelines to follow for feral hogs

I believe that Hunters for the Hungry are the ones who don't accept feral hog meat, not the processors. Someone please correct me if I am wrong.

That or maybe one of you guys that is tight with the Green Screen Gods could maybe sticky this one now that we don't have much time left in the season.
